Boat History

Mission has been designed with relaxation and comfort in mind…a candle lit dinner under the stars, a swim in a secluded bay, blue water game fishing, cruising the offshore islands, or just sunbathing.

Prior to her launch in July 1999, Genesis Boatbuilders displayed her at the Auckland Boat show, where she won the Boat of the Show award.

Built to International Marine Safety authority specifications, and in survey, she carries all the necessary safety equipment on board. View specifications of the boat.

Mission provides state of the art navigation equipment (including an on-board computer running digitized Navy charts) latest forward facing interphase sonar system, radar and 2 VHF radios. Weather updates are obtained via the Internet, as well as receiving the coast guard marine VHF weather broadcasts.

All this ensures that the experienced skipper is always kept up to date with the current position and the present and expected weather conditions. E-mail facilities are available on board.

Two double cabins have been fitted out with the same soft gold leather that has been used throughout Mission’s interior.

Air-conditioning is throughout for comfort.

There is a hot and cold external freshwater shower to rinse off after swimming from the easy to access swim platform.

The flybridge is enclosed, making for comfortable seating with excellent viewing, as Mission cruises, or trolls for big game fish, with the option of opening it up to allow the sea breezes to flow through.

The galley includes a combination microwave/oven, an induction cook top, with rangehood, and an Avonlite bench top, fitted with Italian taps.

With the spacious dinning area aboard Mission, you can enjoy either some of New Zealands finest cuisine or perhaps the Kingfish or Snapper that you have caught that same day.

The separate shower and toilet facilities are finished in Peralli tiles, and Italian tapwear.

Mission is the ideal boat to spend a few relaxing days, feeling as if the boat is your own, or just to take an overnight cruise to one of the off shore islands.

With a built-in barbecue on the deck, what better way to enjoy your very own “catch of the day”?
